CALL TO THE INDUSTRY: HBO Sports Looking to Recover Historical Programming

The Sports Video Group and HBO Sports are calling for the industry’s help in saving a part of sports video history.

Max Segal of HBO Archives is asking for assistance in obtaining any archives of programming from the first five years of HBO’s history (1972-76). Click the document to the right to see a list of the events and programming that HBO is looking to recover.

Veteran SVG members who may have saved some of those old 3/4 inch screeners or know of anyone who might are asked to contact Segal. Format of the footage is not a concern. In addition, any one with leads on a person or organization that may be able to assist in this search are also welcome.
