Netflix Testing 4K UltraHD Streams

Broadbandtvnews.com reports that Netflix has posted a number of 4K test videos, with several Ultra HD offerings at different frame rates appearing on the site.

Speaking to Gigaom, a Netflix spokesperson said the company “hopes to launch Ultra HD next year.” At CES in January this year, Netflix and Samsung collaborated to show streaming 4K on Samsung’s stand. At the time, Netflix also launched its Super HD service offering better quality via selected ISPs including Virgin Media, British Telecom, TDC, KPN, Ziggo, and others.
