Don’t edit your iPhone videos, reShoot them the VHS camcorder way

For those of you using iPhones to shoot, technologytell.com has this story:

Back in the day, when my friends and I would get bored and take VHS cameras to the mall to interview mannequins or into Central Park to film Godzilla movie trailers, we had a highly efficient but wildly inaccurate method of editing we liked to call “tape over what you don’t like.” It saved time, and it saved tape. Quite honestly, I’m surprised it took so long for someone to bring that method to the iPhone, but that’s exactly what Wally World Media is offering with reShoot.

Of course, it’s not terribly difficult to edit your iPhone video with iMovie, but it’s all done after the fact. If you know you’re not going to want a certain segment, and you want to post that video now, reShoot allows you to simply backtrack to where you want to re-film, and pick it up from there.
