The Latest ‘Godzilla’ Featurette Explores How They Did 3D Conversion and Gives Us New Footage [video]

Science Fiction.com reports that the latest video clip for ‘Godzilla‘ is a featurette all about the process used to bring the giant monster into the realm of 3D. Not because he’s too fat like some critics would claim and they needed it to fully show off his lard. He’s a giant walking lizard monster. I mean, come on.

No, this new featurette shows us how Gareth Edwards has gone through the 3D conversion process for the film. All in all, it’s pretty interesting to see how the transformation took place and I’m sure watching Godzilla take another monster in 3D with the city being destroyed around them during the battle will be fantastic on the big screen. While I don’t have an issue with films being shot in 3D (say what you will about the subpar plot, ‘Avatar‘ was beautiful), those that are converted in post usually don’t feel right to me while watching.
