ESPN Named Exclusive Sports Publisher on Snapchat’s New Discover Platform

ESPN has just launched as Snapchat’s exclusive sports publisher in the U.S. on their new Discover platform. Snapchat’s new Discover feature will allow you to see content on the channel from different media brands.

Users will be able to watch daily stories compiled by artists, publishers and even Snapchat’s own editorial staff. These stories will feature full screen photos and videos, and long form layouts.  Each daily edition for ESPN will highlight the top news of the day (5-10 stories per day, 7 days a week). This will include SportsCenter stories (ex. Top 10, Not Top 10.) ESPN’s launch on the channel is geared towards attracting more followers in the sports demographic. Snapchat is 100% mobile and has a tremendous reach regarding millennials.
