Wazee Digital Eases Transition to Digital With Management, Monetization Platforms
The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Wazee Digital as a corporate sponsor. Based in Denver, Wazee Digital is a technology company whose mission is to make content management and delivery simple. It provides title management, delivery, and monetization services for sports, media, and entertainment companies.
Wazee Digital provides one of the world’s largest managed video and metadata platforms as a cloud-based service, reducing or eliminating the impact of people-intensive processes, legacy hardware, and monolithic software on customers as they transition to digital.
The Wazee Digital Core platform securely stores, manages, and delivers content through an easy-to-use interface. Clients can opt to manage their own content or have Wazee Digital do it. The company can help clients monetize their content through Wazee Digital Commerce, its full-scale licensing service.
Wazee Digital will provide video-content management and metadata services for the USTA and the US Open tennis tournament. During the US Open, the company will ingest and digitize content sourced from 10 live feeds throughout the venue. Through a metadata schema designed by Wazee Digital and executed via EVS IP Logger, match play will be catalogued and made immediately available for USTA use via Library Manager, Wazee Digital’s content-management platform. All the master content will be fully archived after the event, but melts and interviews will be made available for USTA and its partners via Library Manager.
“We are pleased to announce this expanded partnership with Wazee Digital,” says Aaron Segal, director, broadcasting, USTA. “It builds upon an already solid relationship that we have shared for years through the licensing of our content. Their integration across core technologies closes the gap for live-action-content management and will give our team access to match play quickly and easily.”
Formerly T3Media, Wazee Digital announced its rebranding this month. For years, such clients as Sony Pictures Entertainment, Fox International Channels, Fox Sports, Paramount Pictures, National Geographic, and the NCAA have trusted the company with their most valuable content.
