CCW 2015: LiveU Preps U.S. Debut of LiveU Solo

LiveU will exhibit its new plug-and-play live streaming bonded solution, LiveU Solo, for the first time in the United States. With Solo, LiveU expands its broadcasting expertise to the online media market.  Solo allows you to live-stream seamlessly into any web streaming workflow by connecting automatically to popular content delivery networks such as YouTube Live and Wowza Streaming Cloud.

LiveU_no taglineSolo is also simple to manage and control remotely via a web interface or smart device. At the CCW Expo, attendees will be able to see first hand how LiveU brings broadcast quality to any online streaming application.

Other live demonstrations will showcase how both traditional and new media broadcasters can easily acquire content in remote locations and stream directly to the cloud for content delivery or back to the production studio – the best solutions for on-the-go, quality live programming and streaming, including:

LU200
LiveU’s ultra-small, fully bonded field unit uses Wi-Fi, LAN, satellite, and cellular bonding technology, making it the ultimate uplink product in providing mobility and resiliency in the field. The two-modem bonded solution is compatible with any camera and turns any camera into a live-streaming device, opening up new live-coverage opportunities. It is the ideal solution for on-the-move broadcasts.

LU200e
LiveU’s LU200e video encoder is the most cost-effective encoder on the market, enabling streaming for web distribution, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint. The LU200e is perfect for applications needing more production and multiple channels. Content can be streamed to the cloud or a physical server using Wi-Fi, LAN, and optional cellular bonding to manage multiple streams and devices remotely.

Vehicle Solutions
LiveU partner, Accelerated Media Technologies, will be exhibiting at booth #603 displaying LiveU’s next generation cellular and hybrid ENG vehicle solution. This solution not only increases network reception for resilient live HD video transmission on-the-go, but also allows the truck to wirelessly connect any LiveU pack to a LiveU Xtender and satellite with distances of over 1,000 feet within line of sight.

“With an already established presence in the broadcast market, we are excited to present the expansion of our solutions to meet the growing need to deliver a better viewing experience online,” said Mike Savello, VP of Sales for LiveU Americas. “We believe that these products will be game-changers in the online streaming world. LiveU is setting a new standard in the web streaming space by offering simple integrated solutions that bring a broadcast-quality viewing experience to any live online media production.”

Mike Savello will also be speaking on the panel for “The KA Band Revolution in News Gathering” at CCW on Thursday, November 12 at 3:00 p.m. The panel will discuss the history of cellular bonding technology in broadcast, combining KA and cellular IP to create a robust pipeline, updates in hardware to address the massive surge in use, and additional topics.
