ESPN pays tribute on-air to producer, who suffered heart attack in Australia

Ted Brown, a graphics producer for ESPN, died on Sunday while on assignment in Australia for the network’s coverage of the Australian Open. He was 36.
Brown, who had worked at ESPN since 2007 and worked on projects including ABC’s College Football Primetime and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, suffered a heart attack in his hotel in Melbourne.
ESPN paid tribute to Brown on-air during Monday’s Australian Open coverage when anchor Chris Fowler offered an emotional tribute to the young production talent.
A native of Portage, MI, Brown is survived by his wife, Erin, and their 2-year old son, Henry.
