The Sound of the Super Bowl
Story Highlights
PSNEurope.com reports that Powersoft, JBL and Meyer Sound have contributed to the success of Super Bowl 50, held at Levi’s Stadium in the San Francisco Bay area last week.
Valencia, CA-based ATK Audiotek provided system integration and audio services for the pre-game and halftime entertainment portions of the game, which featured performances by Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars.
No less than 111.9 million viewers worldwide tuned in to the event, making this year the third-most-watched programme in American television history.
Beginning with amplification, over 120 Powersoft K10 power amplifiers and eight custom subwoofers featuring Powersoft M-System drivers delivered audio to the over 70,000 football fans in attendance.
The compact size of the Powersoft amplifiers helped enable a smooth transition during set up from game time to halftime.
