Washington Capitals, Wizards Unveil Virtual Reality Zone at Verizon Center

The Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards have unveiled the Virtual Reality Experiential Zone (VREZ) presented by Pepsi and Mountain Dew on Verizon Center’s 6th St. main concourse. The VREZ will be open to fans attending games for the rest of the season for both teams.

75“We are thrilled to partner with Pepsi and DEW to offer our fans a new entertaining experience,” says Jim Van Stone, president of business operations and chief commercial officer. “This innovative engagement will allow our fans to enjoy the game from another perspective.”

Fans will have the chance to experience the unique and engaging platform featuring customized content and immerse themselves in various visual simulations with Capitals and Wizards players. Users will also experience a 360-degree view of what players see as they pass through fan tunnels, get in on the action, view thousands of fans, and hear crowd noise.

In addition, from March 14 to April 4, Mountain Dew is kicking off the “#3LikeBeal” sweepstakes. Fans who post videos of themselves making three-point shots on their social media platforms using the hashtag #3LikeBeal #Entry will have a chance to win a VIP experience at a Wizards game, where they will get the opportunity to shoot on the Verizon Center court for a chance to win $3,000.
