Ratings Roundup: NBA Finals Game 6 Down From 2015; Univision’s Copa America Besting 2014 World Cup Ratings

Last night’s NBA Finals Game 6—the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors (115-101)– on ABC averaged a 14.1 overnight rating, according to Nielsen. The telecast peaked at a 16.7 metered market rating from 11:30 p.m. – 11:45 p.m. ET. The overnight is down 11% from the same matchup last year (15.9) and marks the lowest overnight for Game 6 of the NBA Finals since Celtics/Lakers in 2010, according to SportsMediaWatch. The NBA Finals is expected to win the night across all of television for the 54th consecutive time.  The Cleveland market averaged a 44.3 metered market rating and the San Francisco market averaged a 34.9 metered market rating.nba-finals-1Thursday’s NBA Finals Game 6 was the most-watched NBA game ever on WatchESPN across metrics.
