Timecode Systems Enables GoPro Integration Into Sports Broadcasts
Story Highlights
The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Timecode Systems as a corporate sponsor. The company provides an RF-based, wireless timecode-synchronization solution that works across the full multicamera-production workflow.
Imagine a solution where you can deploy 25 remotely controlled, timecode-synchronized GoPros for the price of one additional midrange camera. That’s 25 camera angles for the price of one.
Timecode Systems’ solutions work with all acquisition equipment and can be configured to generate master timecode or slave to facility timecode. In addition, the company can integrate GoPros into the wider production ecosystem. The SyncBac PRO solution enables synchronization of up to 30 GoPros fixed, roaming, or even within VR rigs. The cameras can also be controlled remotely from a tablet, including power on/off and record/stop.
Whether users edit together highlights for television or replay, capture content for team training and analysis, or post clips for fans on social media, including VR, GoPro cameras offer a cost-effective way to capture large volumes of spontaneous video content.
“This is a cost-effective way for sports crews to integrate GoPro footage into their production ecosystem,” says HJ Rorke, director, sales, North America. “By enabling all wireless and fixed cameras and audio recorders to sync completely wirelessly, our platform makes it easier to cut to the moments that matter most to broadcasters, fans, teams, and sponsors.”
Timecode Systems’ recent customers include Joe Gibbs Racing, NASCAR, NHL, Red Bull Media, and Supermotocross GP Championship.
Rorke will represent Timecode Systems on the “Using Social Media and Digital Platforms To Maximize Fan Engagement” panel discussion at next week’s Sports Venue Production Summit at U.S. Bank Stadium. For more information on that event, CLICK HERE.
