LiveTV:LA: How Digital Platforms and Workflows Are Impacting Operations and Crewing

Social media is now a go-to source for the crewing of live event productions

Digital and social-media platforms have changed the landscape in the way viewers of live sports and entertainment productions consume content, but those same technologies are also impacting how linear live television productions are run behind the scenes. At the LiveTV:LA conference last month, experts in the field of live production, operations, and crewing outlined the current challenges and opportunities in their businesses.

The roundtable comprised Frank Coll, senior account manager, U.S. Mobile Units, NEP Group; Randall Heer, founder/partner and CEO, Vista Studios; Theresa Jackson, executive director, operations, Fox Sports; Lynn King, director of crewing, operations, and travel, fVER; and Jeff Proctor, co-founder/president, ProAngle Media.
