Camelback Ranch Celebrates 10th Season With New Daktronics LED Video Display

Daktronics has been asked by Camelback Ranch-Glendale (CR-G), the spring training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox, to manufacture and install a new LED video display in right-center field. CR-G is located in Glendale, Arizona, part of the Cactus League and is celebrating its 10th season in 2018.

“The new scoreboard and shade structures are part of the world-class amenities that make Camelback Ranch the best place for residents and visitors to come enjoy a premium fan experience as they cheer on their favorite teams,” says Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers.

The display will measure 30 feet high x 50 feet wide and feature a 13HD pixel layout, the technology being used in stadium settings at the highest level of professional sports. It will provide excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility as well as incorporating environmental protection to ensure optimum functionality.

Capable of variable content zoning, the display can show one large image or it can show separate windows of content including any combination of live video, instant replays, game information and statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

“We are very excited to be a part of the improvements to CR-G for this upcoming spring training season,” says Rusty Lenners, Daktronics sales representative. “The entire CR-G team was fantastic to work with throughout this process and we look forward to the impact the new video display will have on Cactus League fans coming into the ballpark.”
