Daktronics Installs LED Video Display At Harvard University

The largest aquatics LED video display in New England is now at one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious universities, Harvard. The LED display, manufactured and designed by Daktronics was installed this winter alongside Blodgett Pool to bring an improved experience to aquatics events.Measuring 16 ft. tall by 28 ft. wide, the video display features 6-mm line spacing to bring clear imagery to every seat in the venue. It is capable of variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image or to show multiple windows of content. Live video and instant replays can energize fans during events or event results and information, animations, and sponsorship messages can engage fans.

Daktronics technology features are tested to ensure all aspects of the displays, including vital components, are protected from humidity, particles and other elements associated with pool environments.

“This is a great installation for a great institution in Harvard University,” says Dave D’Amico, Daktronics sales representative. “The new visual elements available for aquatics events at Blodgett Pool are sure to bring an added level of engagement and entertainment for Crimson fans.”

Backlit panels surround the screen while two portable game clocks ensure perfect placement for water polo events.
