Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Southeast Bring Augmented Reality to Studio Coverage

FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast will be the first FOXSports regional network to utilize augmented reality (AR) technology in its studio-based productions, starting with coverage of the 2018 Atlanta Braves regular season. The networks soft-launched the technology in March during their Atlanta Hawks studio shows. 

Fox Sports South/Southeast will be the first Fox Sports RSN to use AR on its MLB coverage.

Augmented reality technology enhances the television viewing experience by superimposing a computer-generated virtual image over live images. CLICK HERE and HERE to see videos of AR in action for Fox Sports South and Southeast.

The networks will integrate the versatile technology into the Braves LIVE pre- and postgame shows to provide a dynamic look at statistical graphics and game information. AR is slated to formally debut on FOX Sports South during the Braves LIVE pregame show on Friday, April 6, at 3:30 p.m. ET, prior to the Braves vs. Colorado Rockies game.

FOX Sports’ AR enhancements during live game coverage will also be viewable on FOX SportsGO, an app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content through programming distributers.
