Orlando City SC Latest MLS Team To Join YouTube TV

Orlando City SC has agreed to a multimedia rights agreement with YouTube TV. The agreement will see the live TV streaming service exclusively stream all locally televised matches live, including the pre, halftime and post-game shows, for the remainder of the season.

“Our fans are constantly on the move, using different devices and consuming our sport through a variety of channels that fit their lifestyles, and we want to keep pushing the boundaries, giving them opportunities to connect with our team from anywhere,” Orlando City SC Chief Revenue Officer Chris Gallagher says. “This is an exciting development in the right direction for our Club.”

All 18 remaining locally televised matches will now be available to stream live on a dedicated Orlando City YouTube TV channel, starting with the Lions match against Real Salt Lake on May 6, at Orlando City Stadium.

Fans can subscribe to YouTube TV for $40 a month and have streaming access to Orlando City’s channel along with additional popular sports networks including ESPN, FOX and FS1, where eight remaining nationally televised Orlando City matches will also air.

“Orlando City is a family, a movement, and we are excited to contribute to this revolution with a new cable-free way for fans to watch their favorite club,” says Tim Katz, director of sports partnerships for the Americas at YouTube.

Orlando City will continue to be locally televised on WRDQ TV27, part of the Cox Media Group. Regular season matches are also transmitted in English on WYGM FM 96.9 The Game or WTKS Real Radio 104.1 FM and in Spanish on La Nueva 990 AM.

In addition to being the official live TV streaming partner of Orlando City, YouTube TV offers:

  • Over 50 networks, including local affiliate Orlando stations ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, plus popular national networks like TNT, TBS, CNN, ESPN, AMC and FX, and local sports networks like FOX Sports Florida and FOX Sports Sun.
  • The ability for fans to watch on TVs (Roku, Apple TV, Xbox One, Android TVs and Samsung and LG 2016 and 2017 smart TVs; in addition to Chromecast, Chromecast built-in TVs and AirPlay through Apple TV) as well as on mobile devices, tablets and computers.
  • No long-term contracts are required, and fans can setup quickly and cancel anytime.
