National Rugby League Names Stats Official Data Provider

STATS is announcing a new five-year agreement to continue working with the National Rugby League (NRL) as the official data provider.

STATS expands its statistics collection to include men’s and women’s live and post-match data for 1,357 matches across 24 international, national, state, and age grade competitions ranging from NRL’s Telstra Premiership to U16 junior representatives. STATS’ data provides the league and clubs with performance analytics, while empowering fans with enhanced content through the NRL’s digital platforms.

Working from both the NRL’s Bunker and their Sydney production center, STATS’ live and post-match data is distributed to league partners and media providers through STATS’data feeds. The agreement also gives the NRL access to extensive reporting and research support.

“Using STATS’ data and analytics, coaches and teams can develop new strategies as they prepare for their next opponent,” says Luke Gooden, GM, Digital Football Product Development. “NRL teams have been using STATS Rugby League data and analytics for several years, and it has become an important part of match preparation. STATS also collects and distributes NRL data to our partners and affiliates, providing fans with more information on and off the pitch.”

“The NRL is the premier rugby league competition in the world, and STATS is proud to provide performance and match data to empower its teams and supporters,” says Richard Henderson, Chief Revenue Officer, STATS. “STATS’ leading performance data is delivering new insights that will help teams better prepare for games and elevate performance.”
