Turner Sports Releases Details of Ryder Cup Digital Coverage

RyderCup.com and the suite of Ryder Cup apps, managed by Turner Sports in partnership with the PGA of America and the European Tour, will provide expanded digital coverage — including live video streaming — of the 2018 Ryder Cup held Tuesday, Sept. 25, through Sunday, Sept. 30, at Le Golf National in Paris, France.

The Ryder Cup LIVE video player will offer live streaming from the world’s premier international team golf event with dedicated programming produced exclusively for RyderCup.com and the Ryder Cup apps. Ryder Cup LIVE will offer Featured Match coverage on Friday and Saturday — two matches per day — followed by in-depth coverage of Sunday’s singles play. The Ryder Cup LIVE commentating team will include Billy Kratzert, Brian Katrek, Luke Elvy, and Michael Breed.

Overall coverage of the event will begin Tuesday, Sept. 25, with live interviews and practice highlights throughout the day. Ryder Cup LIVE will also feature Thursday’s Opening Ceremony and Sunday’s Closing Ceremony and the Trophy presentation.

Ryder Cup Across Phones & Tablets
The enhanced suite of Ryder Cup digital products will be available across a wide array of platforms including phones, tablets, and responsive web. Both the Android app and the iOS app, sponsored by OMEGA, will offer access to live video, breaking news, “Minute-By-Minute” aggregation of social content and live reporting, scoring, comprehensive coverage, photo galleries, a course tour, and on-site spectator resources.

Ryder Cup Available via Connected Devices
New for 2018, Ryder Cup video will be available via Roku, along with B/R Live, Turner’s new premium sports OTT product.

Replays of Featured Matches & Singles Play
RyderCup.com and Ryder Cup apps will offer complete replays of Featured Matches on Thursday and Friday, as well as singles play on Sunday, following each day’s live coverage and press conferences.

New Venue Navigator to Enhance On-Site Fan Experience
Golf fans attending the event will be able to enjoy a completely immersive experience with access to a wide range of content and resources via the Ryder Cup app, including course navigation. The spectator map will deliver a detailed view of the course with routing instructions that highlight walking paths and crosswalks to help enhance the guest experience. The map will also allow users to better locate on-course points of interest, from merchandise locations to guest amenities. A player locator and location-based alerts will also be accessible.

Social Content Gives Fans All-Access
Ryder Cup USA and Team Europe fans can experience all the excitement surrounding one of golf’s most engaging international events via a wide range of RyderCup.com and PGA.com social platforms including Facebook Live programming from the driving range and first tee, live look-ins and access to real-time highlights. Additionally, the app will feature live “Minute-by-Minute” multimedia streaming of social media content featuring video highlights, analysis, and discussion.
