Liverpool Signs Deal to Push Games, Digital Content on Sports Illustrated’s SI TV

Under the terms of a unique new deal, Sports Illustrated will be licensing full match replays of every game legendary English Premier League team Liverpool Football Club (LFC) plays. The games, and a variety of other LFC content, will begin to air this month on SI TV, Sports Illustrated’s streaming television network.

SI TV will be the sole U.S. distributor to aggregate all of Liverpool’s games in one place, simplifying a fractured sports rights landscape. The full matches will be shown in their entirety on a same day but windowed basis. In addition the agreement also features access to classic games, original club documentaries, behind-the-scenes video, in-depth interviews, and more — adding up to more than 200 hours of original LFC content over the course of the season.

After advancing to the Champions League final last season, Liverpool FC currently leads the Premier League- buoyed by the best start in the club’s illustrious history.

The LFC programming will complement SI TV’s existing soccer offerings, such as acclaimed documentary series Exploring Planet Futbol and weekly studio show Planet Futbol, both featuring SI’s renowned soccer expert, Grant Wahl.
