ARCTEK Supports World Feed of the 2019 Final Four With C-Band Uplink Truck
For each lucky fan that gets to take in the Final Four in person, there are millions at home hoping to experience a bit of the magic. ARCTEK found itself with the opportunity to distribute college basketball’s championship game to fans around the world.
The full court coverage continued beyond the stadium where ARCTEK’s Cyan and Magenta, ku-band Sprinter uplinks, worked with multiple networks to produce and transmit content throughout the weekend from the heart downtown Minneapolis. ARCTEK trucks were stationed at the IDS center transmitting a REMI type feed back to New York, and from SEVEN Steakhouse where ARCTEK provided a multi-camera production uplink. ARCTEK White handled the feed from Target Center. A 3×3 basketball tournament at the Mall of America helped to cap off a busy weekend in ARCTEK’s backyard.
“We have been lucky to have some major events come thru town in recent months,” said Brian Stanley, owner and CEO of ARCTEK Satellite Productions. “US Bank Stadium is an incredible venue and its brought some high profile events to our city, being local we are positioned to help our clients get their productions back to their studios.”
ARCTEK is based in St. Paul and had multiple trucks cover Super Bowl 52. They were immediately booked to transmit the Final Four upon the conclusion of the Super Bowl.
“We strive to provide a quality and reliable satellite truck for every event we do,” said Stanley. “It’s a real honor being called to transmit events like this.”
ARCTEK’s fleet includes 3 ku-band and 2 c-band uplinks based on the space friendly Sprinter chassis. Its engineers are the best at what they do and are ready to roll nationwide for all your transmission and production needs.
