Arvato Systems Empowers APTN Canada With Broadcast Management Suite

APTN, the first national Indigenous television network in Canada and the world, is now licensed for the Broadcast Management Suite from Arvato Systems. This includes the corresponding system integration and change management processes. The solution consists of the product components BMS AvategaBMS S4AdSales and BMS S4AdOpt.

The channel management solution Avatega is used for linear and non-linear rights management and all operative processes related to program scheduling. The content monetization workflows are managed by S4AdSales, which also handles inventory optimization and yield management processes thanks to the integrated optimization engine, S4AdOpt.

Prepared for the Future
Before choosing a suitable partner, APTN analyzed the national and international markets, assessed customer references and reviewed the systems of various suppliers on the basis of a detailed catalogue of requirements. Besides covering classic business processes, there was also a strong focus on the requirements of the digital transformation and the automation of processes. “Future readiness” was one of the key criteria in the decision-making phase. The new system also had to meet the needs of the fast-changing market, be fully integrated, highly automated and able to cope with different workflows and monetization processes.

Taking partners to new heights
APTN didn’t just need highly-efficient software products. It was equally important for the network to work with a service provider that could continuously innovate, demonstrate its footprint on the international broadcast management market, and set itself apart from the competition by meeting APTN’s specific requirements. Arvato Systems was able to gain the decisive edge with its notable customers on the Canadian market and its affiliation to a global media company.

“This new service will allow our departments to operate in a seamless fashion like never before,” says Jean La Rose, CEO of APTN. “As a network, our focus has always been providing stories by, for and about Indigenous Peoples and Arvato Systems allows us to do so more effectively, connecting APTN with its audiences in ways that were not previously possible.”

The project is already underway, and Arvato Systems is delighted that APTN has placed its trust in the company and its products throughout this new collaboration. “An agile market also calls for agile processes and structures,” says Christian Schneider, responsible for strategic market and account development at Arvato Systems. “We are already perfectly positioned in both respects and are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration with APTN.”

As a specialist in IT solutions for the broadcast and new media industry, Arvato Systems is also extending its market lead in Canada.
