Full Sail University Invests in TVU Networks Solutions for Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting

TVU Networks is now collaborating with Full Sail University’s Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting. The institution decided to integrate a number of TVU solutions into its curriculum in keeping with the university’s mission to provide students with real-world experience.
Full Sail University’s Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting offers a Bachelor’s degree program created in partnership with the Emmy award-winning sportscaster and radio personality Dan Patrick. The curricula of the program is designed with the primary focus of preparing the next generation of sportscasting talent by embracing storytelling and applying modern-day content creation techniques through real-word, hands-on educational experiences. After thorough testing, the program selected TVU solutions in tandem with its curriculum.
Students within the degree program are equipped with TVU One, the mobile live video transmitter using patented technology to deliver high-quality, low-latency feeds, and TVU Anywhere, the mobile app turning smart devices into professional live video transmitters. The students will use the TVU transmitters in the field to capture ‘live shots’ while sending video feeds back to the in-house TVU transceiver for sportscasting productions and streaming.
“These TVU solutions were incredibly flexible and easy to use, which made for a smooth learning process for our students,” said Gus Ramsey, Program Director of Full Sail University’s Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting. “By setting up and using this equipment in a true-to-life way, the students were able to understand how these tools worked and can apply the classroom curriculum to real-life scenarios.”
