Fox Sports Experiences Stellar Digital Year With 21 Billion Minutes, 5.6 Billion Video Views

With 5.6 billion total video views across social and streaming digital platforms and a third consecutive year of double-digit growth — up +22% over 2018 — Fox Sports delivered its best-ever digital video consumption year in 2019. Fans viewed a total of 21 billion minutes (+21% YoY) across all content.

Each of the brand’s social media platforms — Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube – hit record years in video views for an aggregate +24% YoY increase, and average time spent viewing was up +6% YoY. Fox Sports also reached its best streaming year ever, up 20% YoY in video views.

Additional 2019 highlights:

  • The FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 garnered 539 million total minutes streamed, up +743% from 2015.
  • Skip and Shannon: Undisputed reached one billion lifetime YouTube views in December
  • Social video views grew across multiple major sports in 2019: NASCAR (+118%), NFL (+97%), College Basketball (+64%), MLB (+64%), College Football (+38%)
  • NFL on Fox streaming delivered its best regular season ever, with NFL Sunday audience* growing +57% year-over-year.
  • World Series Game 7 was Fox Sports’ most-streamed Fox MLB game ever, with an, up +2% from the previous record held by Game 7 in 2016.
  • The Big Ten Championship was the most-streamed college football game ever on Fox, up +68% vs. the 2018 Big Ten Championship. Fox College Football’s regular-season audience grew +24% YoY.
