SVG SportsTech On Demand: SOS Global's Steve Gruning on Assisting With Coronavirus Efforts During Sports Shutdown

In an effort to keep the broadcast-technology community informed this spring, throughout April, SVG is hosting a series of SportsTech On Demand video interviews with executives from the industry’s top technology vendors discussing their latest product releases and company news. Our Ken Kerschbaumer sat down with Steve Gruning, VP, global sales and marketing, SOS Global, about the company’s efforts.

While many major sports productions have been postponed the team at SOS Global keeps on moving as its logistic support team is getting the job done. Gruning discusses how the team is staying safe, best practices for safe shipping when major events return to the calendar, and more. During this uncertain time, the company is still working in a remote capacity with the help of video conferencing platforms and is assisting in the import and transport of medical masks on behalf of the Canadian government. Grunning also discusses one of their recent projects that broke new ground in terms of location and shipping challenge: Volcano Live! With Nik Wallenda.
