SVG SportsTech On Demand: Nevion's Sandra White on the IP-based Power Behind Virtualized Remote Production

In an effort to keep the broadcast-technology community informed this spring, throughout April, SVG is hosting a series of SportsTech On Demand video interviews with executives from the industry’s top technology vendors discussing their latest product releases and company news. Our Brandon Costa sat down with Sandra White, SVP, sales and GM, Americas, Nevion, to chat about the company’s efforts.

If the current circumstances have proven anything to the broadcast business its that the value of nimble remote production workflows cannot be understated. The type of workflows enabled by IP and virtualization technologies are now everywhere. With live sports events currently restricted, many broadcasters have taken the opportunity to work on the infrastructure of the future by creating federated facilities that enable distributed production. This requires fully orchestrated LAN/WAN convergent and highly scalable solutions, with products that can be upgraded, maintained, monitored, and supported remotely. Nevion has been architecting IP virtualized solutions for many years with its flagship products, Virtuoso (software-defined media node) and VideoIPath (orchestration and SDN control).
