Venue Edge Revolutionizes the In-House Experience for Attending Fans

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Venue Edge as a new corporate sponsor. Founded by former ESPN Creative Director David Saphirstein, the company draws on its extensive experience in sports production, technology, and branding to help their partners improve the fan experience at stadiums and arenas around the country.

“We’re excited to be a partner with Sports Video Group and connect with their network of sports video professionals,” says Saphirstein. “We are looking forward to working with new partners and helping them to better connect with their fans during this time, whether they’re watching from home or in the stadium.”

Recently, Venue Edge worked with The Mountain West Conference to create an improved graphics and video experience for fans in attendance at their 2020 Air Force Reserve Mountain West Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships.

“Venue Edge gave us a fresh, energetic look that enhanced the Mountain West brand and that of our corporate partners,” says former Mountain West Senior Associate Commissioner Dan Butterly, on the partnership. “We have 20-games over the course of championships week, and we wanted a graphics package that would remain fresh, vivid, and engaging for our fans. Venue Edge exceeded our expectations.”

For this particular project, the company dedicated its time to rebrand all of the in-venue elements used during the conference championship. In order to deliver new animations, informational graphics, and video elements to create an exciting atmosphere within the arena, Venue Edge designed a layout that leveraged the long history of the tournament being held in Las Vegas by bringing the look and style of the city into the arena.

“Venue Edge is focused on helping teams and venues of any size, best utilize their existing resources to create an engaging gameday experience,” concludes Saphirstein. “We work on the entire experience – branding, developing content, scripting, identifying new technology and workflows, and creating new revenue opportunities.”
