Primestream Further Develops Media IO With Server, Desktop Updates

Primestream has made new updates to their Media IO platform to include expanded support for media ingest in cloud-hosted environments, as well as significant performance enhancements to our live format transcoding and user experience.

The latest updates are Media IO Server and Media IO Desktop. Media IO Server is perfect for production environments that need to capture live feeds with automation and signal path control, plus edit-while-capture, play-while-ingest, play-while-transfer functionality. Media IO Desktop can be used to capture and monitor live feeds from your computer connected to the network and with minimal configuration – all from an easy-to-use interface.

Features include:

  • Support for both on-premises and cloud recording, Media IO captures content from any IP stream, camera, or broadcast source including NDI, HLS, RTSP, SRT and SDI in SD/HD/UHD/4K while encoding to ProRes, XDCAM, AVC-Intra, DVCPRO, and H.264 formats on the fly
  • Capture multiple HD and 4K UHD signals simultaneously while simplifying and unifying your workflows across all your departments
  • Expanded file format support for growing file editing with Apple Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Monitor up to 12 feeds from any computer connected to the network in a new, redesigned user interface that makes it easier to use and more intuitive to trigger recordings
