SVG PLAY: Facilities Providers and Tech Vendors Sound Off on the Latest Live Production Tools for Regional Sports Networks
Innovators from LTN Global, Mobile TV Group, Game Creek Video, and Canon share their insights on the latest gear impacting RSNs
Story Highlights
SVG’s RSN Summit brought regional sports network leaders and content creators together in Chicago on June 29 and 30 to network and exchange ideas about the pertinent issues facing the regional sports sector as the business undergoes seismic change on multiple fronts. These leaders addressed how RSNs are being challenged to produce more events and content at lower costs while also navigating new pandemic-era realities and building beyond the linear-distribution model.
Although the pandemic has forced RSNs to focus on efficiency and flexibility, they are still on the look-out for production tools that can offer that “wow” factor within a broadcast. From high-speed and shallow–depth-of-field cameras to augmented reality and virtual graphics to next-gen viewer-engagement tools, vendors offered a look at some of the standout gear being used at regional sports networks today in this panel discussion from the SVG RSN Summit.
