Rose Bowl Renovations
One of America’s all-time classic sports venues is undergoing a robust modernization.
The city of Pasadena, CA, has invested more than $140 million to renovate the century-old Rose Bowl stadium. The project — which, this month, is entering Phase 4 of a comprehensive timeline that will be completed in 2018 — is called “The Next 100 Years.”
So far, the stadium has received new aisles and handrails, spruced up locker rooms, expanded tunnels, updated bathrooms, and a revamping of the building’s electrical and plumbing systems. However, the centerpiece of the stadium’s new look has been a new videoboard and an expanded suite/press box that includes a brand-new broadcast center.
SVG was given an inside look at the latest updates at the stadium, which were completed before the facility hosted the 100th Rose Bowl Game and the BCS National Championship Game.
