More than 50 Sony HD cameras covered every second of the action from Miami\u2019s Sun Life Stadium during Sunday\u2019s Super Bowl XLIV on the CBS.<\/p>\n

NEP trucks at the game were stacked with Sony equipment for the CBS\u2019s coverage of the pre-game, post-game, main game, and half-time show featuring \u201cThe Who.\u201d Sony gear used by NEP included HDC-1500 multi-format cameras and HDC-3300 super-motion camera systems, a Sony MVS-8000A production switcher, HD videotape recorders, and displays,<\/p>\n

\u201cThe technology used to cover a game of this magnitude needs to have the power to fully integrate the level of graphics that NFL fans have grown accustomed to while still producing as clean a feed as possible,\u201d saus Ken Aagaard, SVP, operations and production services at CBS Sports. \u201cThe Sony HD equipment offers a significant level of production flexibility and the image quality is extremely high. Super Bowl XLIV marks the fifth consecutive year that Sony has provided its HD equipment for the NFL\u2019s biggest game.<\/p>\n
