After spending the month of February covering the Alpine Skiing events of the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games on the mountainside of Whistler, BC, Mira Mobile Television\u2019s HD unit M9 headed straight for Hollywood to work the Academy Awards.<\/p>\n
Local owned and operated ABC station KABC-TV, Los Angeles brought MIRA M-9HD to Hollywood, California for its annual pre- and post-event coverage of the Oscars\u2019 Red Carpet festivities.\u00a0 Situated behind the historic Disney-owned El Capitan Theatre, MIRA M9HD, paired with Mira\u2019s B2 unit, created a custom tailored production environment for KABC-TV\u2019s team headed by Technical Manager C. Park Seward.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe KABC Academy Awards shows are the biggest we do all year. A lot is riding on a successful show,\u201d says Seward.\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cIt’s great to have faith in a company and mobile unit.\u00a0 I had no doubt that everything would work and I’d have the backup of the entire company.\u00a0 Our faith in Mira Mobile was rewarded.\u201d<\/p>\n
