Mobile production provider Lyon Video will show off its new truck, Lyon 12 at the Gerling & Associates boosts at NAB 2011. The new truck features a 64-fader Calrec Audio Artemis console, which relies on Calrec\u2019s proprietary Bluefin 2 high-density signal processing for power and on integrated Hydra2 networking to unify inputs and outputs regardless of a source’s physical location.<\/p>\n
“The way we see it, the core of the truck is really the audio console,” says Chad Snyder, Lyon Video account manager. “It’s the anchor that helps us earn long-term commitments from top-tier clients like ESPN, Fox Sports, and Speed. This will be a hard-working production truck for us, supporting diverse shows for diverse clients. Not only is Calrec’s Artemis the right size with the right features, it’s operator-friendly — a freelance A-1 can just sit down and get to work. We’re glad to have the opportunity to show off the truck and the console at NAB.”<\/p>\n
Besides high-end routing and processing capacity in a truck-friendly footprint, the Calrec Artemis console is features OLED displays, touch screens, and light-emitting knobs.<\/p>\n
Lyon-12 is a 53-foot trailer with a 49-foot expansion, designed like all the company’s vehicles to work on its own or with a b-unit. Lyon-12 will make the trip to NAB from Lyon’s Ohio headquarters then return to Gerling & Associates in Sunbury, Ohio, for final outfitting. Lyon-12 is scheduled to hit the road August, working for ESPN college football airing on ABC.<\/p>\n
