To help determine whether you might need substance use or mental health disorder treatment, Hazelden Betty Ford offers online and phone-based screenings confidentially and at no charge.

Inpatient Addiction Treatment
Inpatient treatment, also referred to as residential treatment, provides the highest level of clinical care for patients diagnosed with a substance use disorder.

Outpatient Addiction Treatment –  In-Person
Addiction to alcohol or other drugs can be diagnosed as mild, moderate or severe. Outpatient care is best for those with mild to moderate substance use disorders.

Can you tell me more about Hazelden Betty Ford and why it excels?
Hazelden Betty Ford’s integrated approach to addiction treatment and recovery has been emulated throughout the world, and they are seen as a standard-bearer of quality and integrity in the field. When the Hazelden Foundation, based in Center City, MN, and the Betty Ford Center, located in Rancho Mirage, CA, merged in 2014, the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation became the nation’s leading nonprofit addiction and mental health treatment provider.

Hazelden was established 1949, with a forward-thinking approach to the chronic disease of alcoholism — an approach built on emerging Twelve Step principles and practices, and abiding respect and compassion for the individual receiving care. The Betty Ford Center was established in 1982, with former First Lady Betty Ford — “the First Lady of Recovery” — bringing unprecedented visibility to the disease of addiction and the hope of treatment and recovery.
