Nielsen acquires IAG
The New York Times reports that Nielsen has agreed to acquire IAG Research in
New York for $225 million in cash. IAG, which had revenue last year
estimated at more than $35 million, measures the effectiveness of
advertising on television and online for marketers and networks. With the marketing world struggling to figure out the effectiveness of advertising in a world with DVRs and Hulu the move by Nielsen should strengthen the company’s value to clients. To read the full story click here.
