ESPN HD Brazil Launches

ESPN HD Brazil became that country’s first 24/7 all-sports HD network when it launched Thursday on satellite-TV operator SKY.

The network’s fare will include live coverage of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup, the Spanish League, the Italian League, and MLS, as well the NBA, NFL, MLB, X Games, and an international version of SportsCenter.

ESPN HD Brazil is the third ESPN-branded network in Brazil, following ESPN, which debuted in 1989, and ESPN Brasil, which was born six years later.
