Christie Combines Software, Hardware, and Services Into New ‘Christie Mystique Install’ Suite

Christie has simplified the process of creating spectacular large-scale visual experiences by combining its tools and expertise into Christie Mystique Install, which is being demonstrated at the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2016, November 15-18, in Orlando, FL. Christie Mystique is a suite of software, hardware, and services that applies Christie’s expertise and technology to support complex projection applications.

Christie Digital_RGB_HiResMystique Install provides automatic stacking and edge-blending solutions designed to meet the demands of the sophisticated projection jobs, with the high visual quality. From simple flat-screen applications to court and ice projection mapping in sports venues, giant-screen dome theaters, and theme park dark ride attractions, Mystique Install delivers the tools and services needed to eliminate time-consuming and complex manual alignment, which speeds setup and dramatically reduces downtime due to maintenance.

Mystique Install is currently available in four editions:

  • Essentials Edition is an easy to use, single camera warping and blending application that supports up to 12 projectors in a 2 x 3 stacked configuration on flat surfaces.
  • Pro Venue Edition provides projection stacking and edge blending on flat and cylindrical surfaces, and includes features designed to simplify ice and court projection mapping projects.
  • Premium Edition offers an expert level multi-camera warping and blending solution ideal for projection stacking and edge blending complex projection systems on flat, curved and custom smooth screens such as domes.
  • Large Scale Experiences (LSE) Edition provides the ultimate level of control for the most demanding multi-projector applications such as theme park dark ride attractions and giant-screen dome theaters.  The LSE Edition provides advanced content layout modes and electronic black level blending tools to ensure the highest-level image quality.

“As visual systems increase in complexity, Christie Mystique Install helps our customers create and maintain the experience they envisioned,” says Curtis Mutter, solutions manager, Christie. “From pre-game or half time on-ice or on-court projection mapping during a hockey or basketball game to a thrilling immersive dark ride at a theme park, Mystique Install makes it easier to set up and manage systems that use multiple projectors and screens.”

In delivering customized end-to-end solutions, Christie Mystique helps customers produce the most imaginative and exhilarating experiences possible while supporting Christie integrators looking to remove the complexities of providing a system like this for their customers.

Barneys New York Launches Holiday 2016: Love Peace Joy Project
In other Christie news, Barneys New York, the luxury specialty retailer, announces the launch of its 2016 holiday: Love Peace Joy Project. In the world’s current climate of chaos and divisiveness, Barneys New York brings back the ever-needed presence of Love, Peace and Joy at a time when it is most necessary. Celebrated artists partnered with the retailer to create inventive interpretations of Love, Peace, and Joy, themes that continue to bring people together, especially during the holidays. The artists include visual and performance artist Nick Cave, contemporary artist Rob Pruitt, artist collective Studio Job, mixed media artist Ebony G. Patterson, and Trey Parker and Matt Stone of Comedy Central’s South Park. In addition to embracing the joyful holiday season at its Madison Avenue flagship, Barneys New York also brings its famed sense of wit and surprise to holiday window culture downtown for the first time in nearly two decades at the new downtown flagship in Chelsea. To further spread Love, Peace, and Joy, the retailer’s newly launched Barneys New York Foundation is debuting the #LovePeaceJoyProject, a crowd-sourced social campaign to encourage audiences to share in the seasonal festivities while supporting charitable causes.

Evocative of the positive spirit found in Love, Peace and Joy, each artist interprets these themes in a unique and compelling manner. The windows encompass the core aesthetic of each respective artist as the base, but then add another level of innovation that is unique to the Barneys New York partnership, entertaining the viewers with a dynamic viewpoint on Love, Peace and Joy. Products from Studio Job and Nick Cave will also be available starting November 17th, with items ranging from custom lollipops for $18, to silk scarves for $240, and a bronzed stamp mirror for $5,595. This marks the fourth year that Christie® has collaborated on the Barneys New York holiday window displays, helping to actualize the creative concepts and bring the windows to life with advanced visual technology. Christie is a global visual and audio technologies company that is a leader in providing the world’s most advanced projectors, complete system displays, and cinema audio solutions.

In celebration of the newly launched Barneys New York Foundation, the #LovePeaceJoyProject promotes the spirit of charitable giving for the holiday season by harnessing the power of the social media community. Kicked off by Amy Schumer and Russell Westbrook on November 16th, the #LovePeaceJoyProject encourages audiences to share a photo of themselves forming a heart with their thumbs and forefingers to represent Love, making a Peace sign, or jumping for Joy. With each post, the Barneys New York Foundation is pleased to raise awareness and provide a $5.00 donation for Schumer and Westbrook’s charities. Amy Schumer and stylist Leesa Evan’s STYLEFUND is aimed at the cultivation of personal well-being by guiding women on how to find their individual style silhouette to create true confidence. The Russell Westbrook Why Not? Foundation inspires the lives of children, empowering them to ask “Why Not?” and teaching them to never give up.

The joyous holiday sentiment will be carried into select Barneys New York flagship stores with THE LOVE MACHINE, a digital vending machine, activated by a $20 donation split between STYLEFUND and the Russell Westbrook Why Not? Foundation that dispenses a holiday surprise such as a mystery gift card or Love Peace Joy themed playing cards, pins, and patches. The #LovePeaceJoyProject will continue throughout the holiday season until January 3rd, 2017.

“I’m so excited to be part of the #LovePeaceJoyProject campaign,” said Schumer. “This incredible support from Barneys helps STYLEFUND reframe fashion to use clothing as a tool for well-being so every woman can dress with confidence daily.”

“I have a longstanding relationship with Barneys New York, but am especially honored to now be working with them on this important initiative,” said Westbrook. “I am optimistic that the #LovePeaceJoyProject will help my Why Not? Foundation achieve even greater success in empowering children and helping them to reach their greatest potential.”

To further celebrate the Love Peace Joy Project, Barneys New York will feature dedicated editorial content on its successful life and style editorial site, TheWindow.Barneys.com, including exclusive interviews with artists, behind-the-scenes videos detailing the making of the window displays, as well as other content highlighting this holiday project.
