VISTA Wordlink’s REMI Facility Continues to Grow Customer Base

Opened earlier in 2017, VISTA Wordlink’s brand new Remotely Integrated (REMI) Production facility in Florida has been designed to provide transmission and production services to a diverse range of professional and collegiate sports organizations. Six months on from the ribbon-cutting and the facility, which features a wide array of Ross Video solutions, has continued to grow and acquire new customers from around the world.

Reflecting on progress, Joshua Liemer, Executive Vice President of VISTA, is proud of the results so far. “To date VISTA has executed nearly 500 productions within our facility and counting. We’re now working with a range of customers including Major League Soccer, CONCACAF, US Soccer, United Soccer League, National Woman’s Soccer League, Lifetime and MotorsportsTV, to name but a few. Our reach is truly international; VISTA delivers content to and from the International market on a daily basis, from acquiring content via transatlantic fiber in Europe, turning around content via a North American satellite to a satellite with coverage in Asia, to geo blocking streaming services to a specific international territory. VISTA Worldlink has a team of professionals ready and able to support International services.  Our 24×7 Master Control is staffed with multilingual operators able to manage and coordinate events around the world, in any time zone and in multiple languages.”

As well as featuring sixteen Carbonite production switchers, multiple channels of XPression graphics, Ross’ Pivot cameras and openGear infrastructure, the facility makes notable use of Ross Video’s DashBoard open-architecture control platform to improve operational efficiency.

“VISTA selected Ross for our integrated production workflow as it was imperative to invest in a professional, reliable and creative partner and VISTA felt that Ross checked all these boxes,” says Liemer. “Ross Video’s technology enhances VISTA ability to deliver world class productions making our REMI production solutions an exciting alternative to traditional production standards. Our clients already trusted Ross’ equipment so once VISTA decided to enhance our facility with their technology it made our clients comfortable that the VISTA REMI as a service solution is anchored by a leader within the production industry.”

The team at VISTA worked with Ross Video’s Rocket Surgery Creative Services to develop custom DashBoard controls that drive productions switchers and graphics, enabling operators to control multiple aspects of the production from one work station.

“Ross gave the VISTA production team the ability to customize our workflow to allow for efficiencies,” says Liemer. “That lets us deliver the broadcast quality product our clients expect while reducing the number of people required to execute the event simultaneously, making the end product more cost-effective. Rocket Surgery was able to expedite timelines so that VISTA was able to turn up multiple simultaneous launches on time and on budget.  VISTA’s creative team was then able to take the foundation that Rocket surgery developed to a more custom experience to deliver our client’s exact requirements.”
