Middle Atlantic Garners Awards for DC Power Series at CEDIA 2018

Middle Atlantic Products announced that the High Power DC Power Distribution solution and Proximity Series Sliding Plate received top industry awards at CEDIA 2018 in San Diego. The DC Power Distribution series earned Technology Integrator’s EXC!TE Award and Residential Systems’ Best of Show Award. The Proximity Series Sliding Plate took home EH’s Product of the Year. The awards recognize Middle Atlantic’s continued commitment to create solutions that enable customers to design reliable, amazing AV experiences.

At the Legrand booth, Middle Atlantic showcased its universal, best-in-class High Power DC Power Distribution family for North American and European installations. The new 200W and 300W models provide high current capacity to an industry-leading quantity of outputs — up to 24 devices — maximizing the same voltage in a single unit, 5V, 12V, or 24V, or splitting between 12/24V. These models deliver the same features as the 45W DC compact and 125W DC 1RU systems, eliminating power-cabling clutter caused by the growing number of small devices within residential installations. The solutions’ reliable multilevel protection on both AC input and DC outputs and built-in individual redundancy ensure maximum uptime.

Middle Atlantic Products’ Proximity Series Sliding Mounting Plate offers ease of customization and convenient small-device mounting thanks to its patent-pending sliding design. It’s the industry’s first mounting plate with a slide-out design to provide easily accessible AV storage right behind the display, enabling effortless installation, maintenance, and concealment of equipment. Patented Lever Lock technology and a UMS mounting pattern lets integrators easily unhook the plate from the sliding mechanism and mount small components onto its 15-inch by 10-inch surface. When it’s time for maintenance, integrators can service those components without having to remove the display — saving time and speeding up serviceability.
