CoachComm headsets hit Pillow Academy

The Pillow Academy, an independent preparatory school for grades K-12 in Greenwood, Mississippi, recently upgraded its football headsets to the CoachComm CrossFire All-Star headsets system. The academy also installed CoachComm’s Sportsedit and Sports View software server.

“Our experience with CoachComm was so positive that we decided to switch our old sideline headset system to the new CrossFire system,” says Hubert Davis Pillow Academy head coach.
CoachComm offers two types of CrossFire headsets All Star and Varsity. “The All Star offers 15 channels and that keeps open lines of communication,” says Jon Wilson, CoachComm Territory Sales Manager. “It prevents against clutters when frequencies conflict, using the push to talk technology. All communication is loud and clear.” The system includes a rechargeable battery and a two year warranty.

The SportsEdit software lets coaches import, edit video, and make multiple cuts quickly. “It enables coaches to take any game film any input any sort of data,” Wilson says. Video can be copied from cameras straight to computers for DVD creation, giving coaches the power to send games home with players.

The SportsView software creates a coach’s video station anywhere via PC or a laptop. Games and statistics are viewed, sorted, and filtered anytime. “SportsView can do live capture using two way video. Video film from the press box can go right to the laptop during a game,” Wilson said. Using the CoachComm Commando Remote, games can be edited and played back very simply. Up to 80 games of high-quality video can be stored on a single laptop.
“Pillow Academy’s use of SportsEdit and SportsView will allow them to quickly share video over the SportsEdit Network, and give them a competitive advantage for scouting and game prep,” Wilson declared.
