FOR-A HANABI HVS-3800S SWITCHER INSTALLED FOR TAMPA TV

The City of Tampa s Television
division recently purchased a HANABI HVS-3800S digital production switcher by
FOR-A Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems
for the broadcast and professional video industries.

The HANABI
HVS-3800S switcher is installed on the City of Tampa
Television s new 32-foot production trailer, which is used to cover
municipal meetings, news conferences, and other events of interest to Tampa residents.
Programs produced by the City of Tampa
are cablecast on channel 15, a 24/7 public service channel offered by both
the Bright House and Verizon local cable systems.

On the truck,
there are currently 12-inputs feeding into the switcher, four of which are SD
cameras. The truck serves as a control room for studio shoots or remote
productions. The HVS-3800S was purchased as a replacement for an analog
production switcher that had reached the end of its service life. Purchasing
this switcher represented an opportunity to upgrade to digital production.

The HANABI
HVS-3800S is a 2M/E digital production switcher capable of handling both 4:3
and native 16:9 digital video signals, with 10 auxiliary outputs. It offers
integrated still store, and 2D and 3D Digital Video Effects (DVE) capabilities.
The FOR-A HANABI product line also includes the HANABI HVS-3800HS
multi-bitrate, multi-standard HD/SD 2M/E switcher.
