NHL Network to Televise 12 AHL Games

NHL Network showcases the future stars of the NHL with coverage of 12 American Hockey League (AHL) games, doubling last year’s total of six games.

Coverage begins Wednesday, Jan. 31 with Binghamton @ Worcester at 7 p.m. ET and continues through the last day of the season in mid-April.

Highlights of NHL Network’s schedule include seven games featuring the three Canadian teams – Toronto Marlies, Hamilton Bulldogs and Manitoba Moose, six of which are against the North Division-leading Rochester Americans.

NHL Network has been televising AHL games since the 2004/05 season, introducing the next generation of NHL players to Canadian viewers. This season, 83 percent of current NHL players are AHL graduates, while 17 current NHL head coaches are former AHL coaches.

NHL Network’s AHL broadcast schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, Jan. 31 – Binghamton @ Worcester at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, Feb. 7 – Toronto @ Rochester at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, Feb. 14 – Philadelphia @ Rochester at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, Feb. 21 – Binghamton @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at 7 p.m. ET

Thursday, Feb. 22 – Manitoba @ Rochester at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, Feb. 28 – Manitoba @ Rochester at 7 p.m. ET

Thursday, March 8 – Philadelphia @ Hartford at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, March 14 – Hartford @ Worcester at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, March 21 – Hamilton @ Syracuse at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, April 4 – Toronto @ Rochester at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, April 11 – Hamilton @ Rochester at 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, April 18 – Hamilton @ Rochester at 7 p.m. ET
