Beijing’s Olympic Stadium behind schedule

The Associated Press
is reporting that the 100,000-seat architectural jewel of the 2008
Beijing Olympics, the National Stadium known fondly as the Bird’s Nest,
is facing slight delays. Beijing organizers said Wednesday they
expected all 2008 Olympic venues, except the signature one, to be
finished by the end of the year. Officials had previously said it would
be completed this year, and this was the first acknowledgment of a
minor snag.
