Pete Rose video wins National Telly Award

‘PETE,’
the video presentation that highlights the Pete Rose exhibit now showing at the
Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, is the recipient of a 2007 National
Telly Award, honoring the best work of advertising agencies, production
companies, television stations, cable networks and corporate video departments.

The
12-minute ‘PETE’ video was up against more than 13,000 entries from around the
country. The ‘PETE’ video won in the category of museum and public viewing
programs.

“We
are thrilled to have the anchor of our ‘PETE’ exhibit win such a prestigious
award,” said Greg Rhodes, executive director. “The video
retrospective of Pete Rose truly captures the highlights of his playing career
and sets the stage for the rest of our exhibit.”

Optasia
Productions of Cincinnati produced the video, with Jeff Gardner from Optasia as
producer and editor, and Greg Rhodes and Betsy Ross as executive producers. The
‘PETE’ video plays regularly during Hall of Fame hours.

“PETE”
celebrates the 24-year playing career of baseball’s all-time hits leader with a
major exhibit that’s now open. The exhibit is slated to remain open until
spring of 2008.

The
exhibit covers 2,000 square feet, utilizing the gallery in the main lobby of
the Reds Hall of Fame and incorporating existing exhibits as well as the Hall
of Fame theater. All exhibits detail Rose’s career from 1963 to 1986, spanning
the years from Crosley Field to Riverfront. For hours and ticket information,
