Virgin America and San Francisco to Honor Barry Bonds

Francisco and Mayor Gavin Newsom to honor Barry Bonds
historic achievement of breaking the home run record and becoming the new
all-time home run leader.

Moon, Giants public address announcer, will serve as emcee for the celebration
featuring Barry Bonds and his family. Members of the public are invited to join
the celebration that will also feature Mayor Gavin Newsom, former and current
ballplayers, such as Hall of Famers Willie Mays and Willie McCovey, Giants
executives and broadcasters, and various celebrities.

The event
will open with the local band Wonderbread 5 playing on the main stage. A video
of baseball career highlights will showcase Barry’s career with congratulatory
videos to Bonds from such legends as Hank Aaron, Joe Montana and Michael
Jordan, among others. Virgin America is the lead sponsor of the event.
