Hothand Wireless Offers College Students Sports Information on Mobile Devices

Wireless, a web application that enables universities to offer students and
staff access up-to-the-minute recreation information on their mobile devices has
expanded its University Mobile Network to
include Universities Alabama, Arizona,
Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Oregon State, Portland State, Stanford, UCLA, USC and
Washington State. Hothand Wireless (www.hothand.com)
lets students and faculty access
recreation and intramural information such as scores, standings, schedules,
facility availability, contests, polls and more on web-enabled phones and wireless
devices. The service is available to all students and staff members.

“We’re thrilled with the response to the University Mobile Network,”
said Randy Jaramillo, CEO, Hothand Wireless. “We’re excited about working
closely with the universities to provide easily accessible information to
students and staff. We expect to have many more universities committed by the
end of the year.”

Last spring, Hothand Wireless made a partnership with the National
Intramural-Recreational Sports Association the resource for
professional/student development, education and research in collegiate
recreational sports. NIRSA affiliated colleges represent over 600 campuses and
more than 7 million students.

“There has been a very positive response to the Hothand Wireless
program,” said Kent Blumenthal, executive director, NIRSA.

Hothand Wireless launched its University Mobile Network with a pilot program at
UCLA which was sponsored by Best Buy Mobile. Hothand Wireless will be working
with universities to expand its services to encompass all aspects of college
life. Available on all carriers, students, faculty and alumni are able to take
advantage of Hothand Wireless’ “Hot Deals” section with special
offers from top merchants.
