Real Media Looks To Build National Reputation in College, Pro Sports

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome its newest sponsor, Real Media. A leading producer of video and animation for college and professional sports teams, Real Media is a full-service production company specializing in visual effects, design, and postproduction. Founded in 1997, the company serves local, regional, and national clients from its production facility in Overland Park, KS.

Real Media works with a number of sports teams nationwide, from the Baylor Bears to the Miami Heat to the Cincinnati Reds. Recent high-profile projects include video production for the new Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame and a promotional campaign for the 50th anniversary of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Baylor University relies on Real Media for both athletic and non-athletic production services.

Bray, director of BaylorVision at Baylor University. “Real Media will deliver the goods on time and better produced than what you paid for. We are certainly thankful that there is a company like Real Media out there when we need them.”

The Miami Heat turns to Real Media for creative ideas as well as professional production.

“They’ve become a big-time player for graphic and content creation in the sports and entertainment industry,” says Ed Filomia, senior director, broadcast services, for The Heat Group. “Our first interaction with Brad was when we required production work for our playoff run in 2004 and then the following run to the finals in 2006. Real Media provided both graphic and audio assistance in our campaigns.

“And then this past season,” Filomia adds, “Real Media collaborated with our marketing department producers to create a Flash-scripted interactive fan contest using the Pyramid game-show concept. Real Media is run with an emphasis on creativity. In the end, the importance is placed on the finished product, not on the dollar.”

With SVG, Burrow looks to build on Real Media’s portfolio of sports clients and foresees continued growth in the sports-video industry.
