NetApp Recognized As CIO 100 Award Honoree

IDG’s CIO magazine announced NetApp as a recipient of the 2011 CIO 100 award for its Field Service Order (FSO) system, which uses automation to improve the NetApp partner and customer experience. The 24th annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology.

NetApp was recognized for an FSO tool that was developed by NetApp IT in conjunction with the NetApp Global Services organization to improve electronic communications with external partners. This innovative system creates a more streamlined and efficient way to dispatch parts and field service personnel to locations around the world, providing greater service levels and improved business value for customers.

“We are gratified that CIO recognized NetApp for the innovative ways we provide service and support,” said Marina Levinson, senior vice president and CIO, NetApp. “The FSO solution has significantly improved partner productivity as well as customer satisfaction.”

“This year’s CIO 100 awards draw well-deserved attention to companies that are not only innovating with IT but creating genuine business value as well,” said Maryfran Johnson, editor in chief of CIO magazine and Events. “These winning companies and their IT organizations are an inspiration to businesses everywhere.”

The 2011 CIO 100 awards will be presented at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on August 14–16 at the conclusion of the 16th annual CIO 100 Symposium and Awards Ceremony.
