ESPNU VP Rosalyn Durant to Oversee ESPNHS

Integrating the natural synergy between high school and college sports, ESPNHS will now be under the direction of Rosalyn Durant, vice president, ESPNU.
Durant has been responsible for the rapid growth of the college sports network through her close collaboration across multiple business units within the company. ESPNU is now seen in approximately 73 million homes compared to 25 million in April 2008 when she assumed her role. In this new role, she will report to John Wildhack, executive vice president, programming and acquisitions and for ESPNHS business matters, John Kosner, senior vice president, digital and print media. Her new title will be vice president, ESPNU and ESPNHS.
Prior to her position with ESPNU, Durant served as vice president, programming & acquisitions, managing ESPN’s relationships with the NBA, FIFA, UEFA, US Soccer, Major League Soccer and other rights holders. She played a significant role in the eight-year contract extension with the NBA announced in June 2007.
Durant began at ESPN as an intern in affiliate sales and marketing in the summer of 1998. She joined that department full-time in 1999 as a coordinator and rapidly advanced – becoming regional account executive (January 2000); account executive, southeast region (June 2000); senior account executive, western division (March 2002); manager, national accounts (October 2004), and senior director, national accounts (October 2005). In February 2006, she transferred to the programming department as a senior director, programming.
She is a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in marketing.
