NAB 2012: Signiant To Show Media Manager and Exchange

By Carrie Bowden

At NAB 2012, Signiant will show two of its software products at Booth SL4228. Media Manager is a system-to-system solution designed to handle the administration, control, management, and execution of all system activity — including workflow modeling — from a single platform. Media Exchange is a private cloud solution for fast, secure file transfer designed for the business needs of media content providers — from major studios and global broadcasters to regional postproduction houses.

“At the 2012 NAB Show, Signiant will be on the forefront of next-generation file transfer services for the media enterprise that are faster, more secure and easier to manage than ever before,” said Margaret Craig, CEO, Signiant. “We’re looking forward to showing NAB attendees how Signiant’s new solutions can transform digital media operations to speed time to delivery, reduce costs and guarantee security of valuable media assets.”

Signiant Media Manager
Users can complete batch transfers of large numbers of media files, and interact with the Manager through a Web-based interface for system configuration, task automation, and reporting. Intelligent agents on the sending and receiving ends manage and monitor successful content movement.

Signiant Media Exchange
MX expands user access options with simple clients that automate the unattended delivery of content to/from any desktop or mobile device. Once content is downloaded, MX users can log in and select the channels of content to which they wish to subscribe. Users receive unattended updates as they become available — without having to check for new content or wait for downloads — and can quickly upload content to users or preselected channels without an agent, reducing the steps required to send or obtain content.

In addition to these Signiant software solutions, the company will unveil  new products at the show that combine enterprise-level security, management, and control with a new user paradigm.

Signiant will host a press luncheon at the 2012 NAB Show on Monday, April 16, at 12 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center in room N242.
